The Arctic ice arrived
A cold fog blurs the distance.
The Ridgetown floats quietly on the lake.
Ducks huddle together, heads down.
My body shivers, looking out onto the icy landscape, my soul warms.
The sun brings a touch of brilliance and solitude to a frigid day.
Arctic Ice – your landscape changes once again.
The afternoon sun dances upon your dying icicles.
The deep blue water splashes against your jagged edge.
You grow smaller while the day is getting longer.
Swan lovers hide in your crevasses.
They quietly steal a kiss or two.
